Came in to grab some breaky and ended up ordering the 'Big Breakfast'. Staff were nice and friendly. The 'big breakfast' is what comes out you could comfortably feed two with it :). Bread was fresh. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Original GOOLWA Bakery:
I work in this town and have been to the bakery quite often. The staff are very friendly. The coffee is reasonable. The pies and pastries are average . The spinach roll is a nice vegetarian options. The cakes are not brilliant, often dry.The prices are standard.Good for a quick occasional bit. Nothing special. View all feedback.
Pies were good, the pasties were nice, but should have chosen another pie, prices were good, and enjoyed them
Very friendly serving staff and the meat pies were nice and old fashioned. Also had the vanilla custard slice which was to die for.
We stop here every time we come to Goolwa but the last visit will definitely be 'the last visit '. The pies were average, the coffee and hot chocolate cool. The service has gone downhill. Looking forward to the new bakery to be built near the Woolies complex.
She's a tired looking building, inside and out. But if you want authentic, rustic true bakery food, then this is the place to go. Sausage rolls, are yum, vanilla slices delish, but the star of the the show, my gawd...the NED KELLY, absolutely amazing!! My fat guts and high cholesterol can attest to my experienced consumption of pies and other goodie at countless bakeries across oz. I kid you not though, this is absolutely THE BEST Ned Kelly in ALL of Australia!! Do yourself a favour and after a good night out on the grog pop into here for your Saturday morning brekki, go the Ned Kelly, buy the wife a sausage roll and split a vanilla slice and you'll be good til late arvo or tea time!!
We had the jalapeño cheese pie, beef and burgundy pie as well as a huge delicious Kitchener bun. All were very very good. I particularly loved the Kitchener bun, it took two of us to eat it. Definitely recommend this bakery.
