Quarterdeck - Goodwood

I recently attended a staff party at this restaurant which was fully booked for the evening. The food was mostly good, although a few dishes didn't quite meet our group's preferences. Unfortunately, the main buffet was not efficiently restocked, leading to some items being missing from plates. Additionally, the desserts were average, with some being homemade baked goods that lacked creativity. The cold desserts were bland and lacked the visual appeal seen in photos posted online. However, the ice cream was exceptional and full of flavor. Despite the shortcomings in the kitchen, our waitress Beauhla provided delightful and enjoyable service throughout the meal. Overall, for the price of almost R300 per plate, I expected better attention to detail and presentation from the kitchen staff.

Make sure to arrive with a hearty appetite when dining at Quarterdeck. The food is incredibly tasty and the buffet style dining makes it a great value. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to explore new dining options or simply looking for a place to enjoy a meal.

Today, on February 24th, 2018, dining at this restaurant remains a sophisticated experience. While the furniture has been replaced with standard tables and chairs, the food served in buffet-style is still top-notch. The variety of dishes, including cold drinks, fresh salads, starters like fried fish and calamari, main courses like roasted meats and stews, and desserts are well-prepared and visually appealing. However, making a reservation can be a challenge due to busy phone lines and an unresponsive email option. Despite the difficulties in booking, the restaurant sends confirmation messages via SMS to ensure that your reservation is successful. Overall, dining at this restaurant is always enjoyable due to the delicious offerings available. Returning on March 16th, 2018, we were excited to indulge in the delicious dishes we missed out on during our previous visit.

Thank you Andrew and Lynton and staff for making our day special yesterday you made us fees welcome again after that undesirable treatment we had on our wedding day. We can see some improvement from your staff regarding the LGBTQ issue there was. My wife Samantha is impressed to see steps were taken to improve on that part of our dining experience. I pre booked a 50th dinner with Roxy who was very helpful and tried to accommodate all my requests. We were a small ish group and we managed to secure the back area all to ourselves. What a lovely surprise that was. The food was excellent and the variety was impressive. Everything had a unique taste. And the soda's and waters on tap (included in price) was very welcome. The entire party said they had an excellent time. I really hope this place appreciates their chef/s as they sure know how to cook! Bongy Khanyi were our assigned waitresses (another surprise) and they looked after us well and stayed with us until the end. I would highly recommend this place. And will definitely be going back!
