This is the first time since the pandemic that we have been back. It is out of the Main Street area of Goleta; however, it is a hidden gem. It looks like they renovated the restaurant. What jfinnnnnnnnnn doesn't like about Red Pepper:
I tried the Pork Szechuan, but it was quite bland and the sauce was overly sweet. The hot and sour soup was also lacking in flavor. Unfortunately, I ended up feeling unwell shortly after the meal. I would recommend avoiding this place. View all feedback.
I heard that the restaurant had changed because of new owners but the food still looks the same as older reviews so maybe they went back to old recipes. The sweet and sour chicken isn't the most flavorful(would say it lacks any flavor tbh) the onion pancakes are pretty good and flaky
Went there recently and I was really surprised. The ingredients were very well balanced, I’ve noticed an issue with many Asian restaurants in Santa Barbara is that they tend to overpower the food with one ingredient or flavor. This place is easily my favorite Chinese restaurant in Santa Barbara.
Great food. Great service. Good came out fast and was very fresh. Clean restaurant will recommend to others!
Hot tasty dishes; it was busy on a Wednesday night but my order was ready for pick up in 20min as promised.
I had the General's Chicken and it was really good! Not greasy and the sauce was tasty. The egg roll was ehh. Can't win em all
