The food was amazing, so flavorful and the ingredients were fresh and cooked perfectly. The service was also great. Highly recommend— don’t be fooled by the paper plates and small interior, it’s a superb find in Goleta with authentic and affordable foodand an extensive menu.

It looks like they r... read more This is the first time since the pandemic that we have been back. It is out of the Main Street area of Goleta; however, it is a hidden gem. It looks like they renovated the restaurant. Our favorite is the onion pancake appetizer, and it is light crispywith a dipping sauce. We enjoyed our dinner (shrimp chow fun and mooshoo pork). The servings were large and we had enough leftovers for lunch. Our server was very attentive and nice.

Sichuan eggplant was super yummy too which is our favorite dish. A hidden gem. I would recommend it.

Best American Chinese in Santa Barbara. Chinese food always sounds like a great idea and I almost always regret it- too oily, mushy vegetables, questionable meat. Red Pepper was none of those things and was everything I had wished for. Onion pancake and pork dumpling appetizers, general tsao, pork chow fun. The only recommendation I can make is choose your dips with focus, they are not enough for the appetizers. Make sure you order enough dips. The pork chow fun is the best I've had outside or Toronto and Vancouver. General tsaos was reliably good. Batter fried but the meat, flavorings and vegetables are great. Best American Chinese food in SB.
