The best thing about the Capriola is that it is relatively quiet compared to the rest of the restaurants we experienced during the Fiera National Cavalo. It was also slightly more comfortable, with chairs rather than benches. It is a good place to take a break from the marvelous insanity of the FNC. View all feedback.
Excepcional Fã dos bons endereços francês/belga, este estabelecimento não tem nada do que se envergonhar desta competição… Pessoal acolhedor, agradável e atencioso Alta classe
Este restaurante foi uma experiência muito agradável. Estou hospedado no hotel, então comi aqui algumas vezes. A comida é de primeira qualidade. O serviço é fantástico. Filip e Julia foram os anfitriões perfeitos.

We returned to the Golega Horse Fair/Hotel Lusitano and fond memories of our first stay in 2015 were only added to. One of the wait staff had served us in 2015. While I guess the chef has changed from 2015, the current chef is doing an amazing job. The octopus is still amazing but slightly different being smaller octopus but equally tasty. The ox tail was another pleasure. Instead of being presented with ox tail bone and all, it is just the meat shaped into a round tasty piece of perfectly cooked meat. Hubby loved his veal steak that he got almost every night. We made sure to make reservations for the early dinner since we know how busy the restaurant gets with larger parties later. Our service was outstanding and we never felt forgotten even as the restaurant filled up. On a side note, the breakfast was about the best that we experienced in Portugal on this trip. Many options including excellent fresh fruit (mango to die for), beautiful cakes, fluffy scrambled eggs, great bread and just prefect to get you prepared to spend some time walking about the horse fair.
We spent Christmas Eve here- the only guests in the restaurant! But kitchen and staff managed to make us feel very welcome and we enjoyed a lovely meal.
