Simcoe Cafe - Goldendale
Simcoe Cafe
Description
This charming restaurant offers a cozy, small-town bar atmosphere and impresses with its delicious food, particularly the Reuben and Clubhouse sandwiches, praised for their quality and presentation. While the service can vary—sometimes hindered by a busy environment and limited staff—the friendly demeanor of the employees leaves a lasting impression. Diners appreciate reasonable prices and are keen on returning for favorites like burgers and fish and chips. However, inconsistent experiences with service and food preparation have been noted. Overall, it remains a hidden gem worth exploring for both its culinary offerings and nostalgic ambiance.

It was very busy, and the 2 gals working were running themselves ragged. Food was decent and a reasonable price. They really could have used one more server. Everyone was very nice and professional. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
A relaxing, down home style bar/cafe. Friendly as all get out. Easy to split one delicious chicken wrap with perfectly cooked tater tots for a shared lunch for those of us with smaller appetites.
For wa Great service was on the always side. Luckily we were not in any kind of rush. Atmosphere was relaxed. Easy going and a nice place to have a meal. Parking: Single row in front of diner Wheelchair accessibility: Present standard Service: Dine in Price per person: $10–20
Nice, welcoming environment with friendly staff. I saw in previous reviews that the Simcoe are has the best burger in the county, so I ordered the Simcoe burger which comes with bacon, cheese, mushrooms, onions etc... I got a side of fries and bbq sauce. Food was brought out by the chef, he was very attentive and helpful. The char on the burger delivered a rewarding crunch while preserving a hidden juciness. The produce on the burger was fresh and crisp. The mushrooms did not come from a can . A generous portion of bacon was served on the burger, accompanied by melting cheese. Rhe bbq sauce was a flavorful, smoky sensation. The fries were hot, yet appeared to be unsalted. Overall a pleasant dining experience. The only reason it didn't score higher was because we had to use the salt shakers and they were very sticky.
