We held our First Responder training in the back room, coincidentally on St. Patrick's Day. After the training, we enjoyed a green beer. Despite the busy atmosphere, we received excellent service. Thank you for allowing us to use your back room for the EFR training class and for the wonderful service! View all feedback.
What Kathleen Wagner doesn't like about Chester Bird Post 523 American Legion:
7/9/22 Had to cancel our 8 dinners after bingo because they were getting ready to set up a party. Had you told us 10 minutes prior, we wouldn't have ordered 8 dinners.... ? View all feedback.
I've lived here for two years and really want to love this place. However, I can't help but miss my SLP legion, BC legion, and pretty much every other legion I've visited. What's going on with this place?
The staff is incredibly friendly, even during the hectic Saturday bingo afternoons.
I agree with others who have mentioned that the quality of the food doesn't live up to the prices. I do appreciate the themed food special nights, plus the events such as trivia. Happy hour drink specials are good, too.
Chester Bird used to be amazing! Wednesday and Saturday bingo is still great! After covid they got new staff and changed the menu. Currently on Sundays they only have one server and a limited menu. Sunday service is horrible! One server can 't even keep up on drink orders, then adding food to the mix makes it a disaster. This past Sunday I went to bingo and multiple tables never got waited on. (These tables played bingo, ate there own snacks and got 1 drink from the bar.)I ordered wings and waited 47 minutes to get dipping sauce. By then my wings were cold and I politely ask to have them warmed up. Kirsten the server rolled her eyes and said really? grabbed the plate of wings and stormed away. Her attitude has always been horrible so maybe I should have expected this.Chester Bird is a fun place, I just wish they would get the service part together. (Maybe have a system in place so service is not a free for all.)Great place for drinks and bingo!!
I liked this place 4 years ago. Went here for the 1st time since 2019.. and wow.. what happened??? $15 burgers.. $6 coors light on tap. $13 tacos.. I can't afford this place anymore. These are LA club prices. As a veteran, I can't afford to go there anymore....Edit.I did more research today. Cowboy Jacks has $2 coors.. and $7 wings. 12 wings for $7.
