I hardly go out in Italian restaurants. it often happens that they are Italian, only because they have an Italian name and as often the courts are anything but Italian. in this restaurant, however, I must say that I have eaten well: fresh ingredients and good food. We have been eating at mazzini and unfortunately have to find out that you can never tell before what awaits you: often eating is impeccable and the service pleasant. But there are also more and more evenings where the service is totally reserved or sometimes also unpleasantly distant (the chef always excluded!) and that eat is more than sparse.In the inside area everything is elegantly designed, but for this the outside area in the summer can only wait limited with charm. the kitchen offers an appropriately wide range of Italian food. the waiting times are also in order with a lot of visits, but the service leaves noticeably as soon as it becomes just a bit fuller.A visit is therefore always associated with a certain risk.

Since we have been guests since the opening of the restaurant, I know the kitchen and the staff well. the staff is always friendly and the dishes leaving the kitchen are good and tasty. from time to time there are highlights, always Italian specialties, but the wolfsbarsch is the best in divines. the weeping recommendations are good for me as a winemaker and also recommended. a visit is always worth it, it makes sense to reserve a place.

The ambiente is not bad and it is clean. in the outside area I sat unfortunately in the through area of the services and the floor panels seemed loose. Generally three years ago, while my first employer did not find my professional happiness, but in my roommate a good friend who always likes to listen to me and with whom I like to eat. The last time we had Crepe and Turkish delights, this time she wanted to return to our favorite Italian Mazzoni . We met both at 6:00 and had no table reserved. The Mazzoni is part of the Best Western Hotel am Papenberg and can be reached via Hermann-Rein-Straße via the EIngang opposite the hotel or Robert-Koch-Straße. The audience consists of hotel guests, business partners and individuals like us. I also saw a single woman in a wheelchair. Two people who wanted to eat something after the sport. It is possible to take the food after pre-order. Several tables were reserved, and there were also a few people sitting in the small room that probably wanted to sit a bit more. A larger group sat on a board. We were allowed to choose one of the three two tables that were not yet occupied. The rather large space is structured by columns and is dominated by a large counter. Italian decorative items are available but are used more discreetly. Despite the terracotta tiles, the room is cozy. On each table there is a clean, white fabric table cloth with matching middle ceiling. Cutlery and S-P scatterers are covered and dark red somewhat better paper napkins are located on each dining area. Large glass tealights like on the North Sea with thick candles and decoration sand were illuminated everywhere once only a guest was seen nearby. I like this simple, not so demonstrative-Italian flair in which everyone can simply enjoy the food. Service Three men were responsible for the gradually increasing number of guests tonight. So we have to go through inlaid tomatoes, zucchini, onions, mushrooms, mozzarella (but the good that is so loose and not these Eclipse buffalo mozzarella I don't like, Parmaschinken, Ruccola, Artichokes, Paprika and Pesto. There was also a small bowl of lukewarm, self-made Italian bread in mouth-like pieces. Our waiter also set a menagerie with two kinds of oil (a delicious, very fruity I secretly ribbed with bread... and balsamico of the better variety on the table. It has cost us both well, especially because the ingredients were all very fresh and not this antidote of antipasti. Great! So back to the base: Tiramisu at 5,20 € and Dessert del Giorno (today Mousse au chocolat at 5,50 €, to which at the beginning our flew waiter was directed. My Tiramisu was above all smaller than expected for the price, but no matter. As the appearance presumes, there was generously worked with cream and less with some alcohol. At least the Schokosauce kept within limits. I had too much cream, but the middle floor was fluffy and there was no thick cocoa blanket. Delicious, but not more than 3.5 stars. Too bad. The mousse au chocolat looked quite creamy and was also crushed with cream and chocolate sauce. Why don't you just take fruit and less of the finished products? The mousse was of good consistency and not too heavy, as good as I didn't eat it long. I personally prefer to use dark chocolate. Good performance! The Mazzoni offers a good Italian cuisine that captivates with classics as well as an established service team and elegant ambience. You must leave as much money as you do with the competition.
