Cron und Lanz is just a Classic! Best place in town for cakes, sweets, pralines etc. Not a modern “Coffee Shop”, beware….the downstairs is more like a high end... read more Cron und Lanz is just a Classic! Best place in town for cakes, sweets, pralines etc. Not a modern “Coffee Shop”, beware….the downstairs is more like a high end bakery/pralines shop, the upstairs a traditional sit down cafe with service etc…something you otherwise don’t find anymore, unless you are in Switzerland! We had the store special (which is the “Baumkuchen”, a cake layered with 10 or so sheets of pastry and filling. Sweet and delicious they have a mega size display version in their shop window. Special advice see if you can get the small table in the little alcove slightly jotting out over the street/pedestrian zone. Great people watching with great cake! (Disclosure: we can’t help but always eat cake here when we pass through the area)
