We stopped here for the second year in a row as it our favourite restaurant in the whole area. The food is simple and fantastically well made. The location is beautiful and the water is amazingly clean. It is guaranteed when we next sail here this will be the most important stop for us. What Deven Travel doesn't like about Karacaören:
The food was the most expensive terrible food ever! 2 of us got diarrhea things are stale. 750 lira for 8 chewy stale calamari is probably highest price in the world. The views are good. The owner treats the whole island/area as if he owns it. Has nasty attitude towards guests. Come for the views and water just don’t eat anything here. Most expensive worst quality food in all of Turkey! 750lira for 8 rings of rubbery inedible calamari. Meze was horrible, fermented eggplant and soggy tomato. I got diarrhea 30min after eating that has lasted for 4 days now and still not getting better with loperamide. I think maybe it was the salad. The shrimp was tasty and they gifted us fruit. Cats and dogs come to beg for food that are very cute, but somewhat aggressive. View is incredible and it’s the only restaurant on the island tour, but wish we had eaten on mainland and skipped what we thought would be a more tasty island restaurant experience.
