Last night my husband and I and two friends went for dinner. Before I start I know it’s Chucks not a five star dining. Our waitress was a sweetheart and nothing was her fault in what occurred. I have been in the service industry for 30 years and know how to treat servers I ordered a steak and lobster dish I know a bad lobster when I smell it. Lobster should not smell like ammonia ever ! As soon as my plate was sat down the smell was overpowering. I very politely asked the server to take it away. She apologized and I said hey it happens and not her fault. I thought ok I will eat the steak and potato. I had eaten half of the steak before I got a taste of where the lobster tainted it. I just put my plate aside and didn’t feel hungry anymore. Mostly turned off. The sweet waitress removed my plate When the bill came they took off the lobster but felt I should pay for the steak. I asked to speak to a manager and the owners wife came over I asked her politely why I am being charged for anything ? My dinner was ruined. She had the nerve to say well it couldn’t have been that bad you ate most of the steak and refused to take the full meal off. Then her husband told me too bad and he was not comping my meal. I said do you realize you will make people sick ? He said nothing was wrong with lobster This place could be a gold mine but with such gross treatment to a customer I want everyone to be aware that they do not care to make any wrong a right. I am the politest person but I let him know social media is a platform and can be used to let people know that this owner does not care they almost made me violently ill. Just be careful when going to eat here We will never go back.
