[Update, June 21, 2019] I returned for another visit, and once again, I had to try the brisket, which was slow-cooked in tribute ale and Jack Daniel's. First visit due to the recommendation. Eating was just brilliant, the pig bell was the size of my forearm! value for money is great! the atmosphere was their usual local pub, coughing and busy! the manager has great charisma about him and very chatting and greeting! would not hesitate to visit again
Excellent briskets. fine ambiente. steve was a great host. Feeling very welcome. large selection of weeping and ales. beautiful horse (all clear). confuse this place not with the coal bar and grill in the quays that some reviewers seem to have done on trip advisor. this place is really great.
Fantastic food, amazing host. The food is the best quality we have tasted in as long as any of our group could remember and the price is very affordable. Steve, the host, is a great guy making everybody feel welcome and has a (justified) pride in his food. The atmosphere was perfect and we would all love to return again soon. I would recommend to all.
Amazing place and amazing food. Steak on the stone was most amazing steak I’ve ever tasted. Host was second to none and even his shetland pony made an appearance! Will be coming back again soon! Make sure you book in advance as it is popular and like animals roaming around the place personally I love it!
We had Sunday roast, absolutely wonderful, so tasty. We will be going again, all there dishes are scrumptious.
