The Hereford beef dish was incredibly delicious, with a mouthwatering gravy served alongside bubble and squeak. I'm definitely looking forward to returning to try more dishes next time. The prices were also very reasonable; I've spent much more elsewhere for meals that weren't nearly as good. Another aspect I appreciated was the restaurant’s policy regarding children under 12; there’s nothing worse than having your meal disrupted by screaming kids. Overall, I can't wait to go back and sample more of their offerings!

The place was bustling, but despite the crowd, the service was excellent, the food was incredible, and the atmosphere was outstanding. Although we don't live nearby, we will definitely return! It was undoubtedly one of the best meals we've had in a long time. The Longford lamb was particularly exceptional—huge portions that were tender and perfectly pink, practically falling off the bone! The menu provided so many options that it took us a while to decide what to order, and we look forward to coming back to try more dishes. The prices were quite reasonable as well!

The price was very reasonable for w... read more I visited this restaurant for the first time today with my partner, and I ordered the meat trio from the Sunday midday menu. The price was very reasonable for what can only be described as the best roast I've ever had in a pub. It was incredibly delicious with generous portions! The staff were all very welcoming and friendly, and the decor created a lovely atmosphere. Additionally, children under 12 are not allowed, so you don’t have to worry about noisy distractions from neighboring tables. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

The lunchtime menu features a wide variety of options and is a great value. Everyone in Gloucester knows it's one of the best places to eat. Price per person: £10–20. Food: 5/5. Service: 5/5. Atmosphere: 5/5. Highly recommended dishes include the Steak and Stilton Pie and the Longford Lamb Shank.
