Mile Marker One - Gloucester

We were seated at our reservation time. Restaurant was very busy. Waitress brought us water immediately but then didn't return to take drink orders for 15 min. She was lovely but very busy. Food was excellent, hot and all came out together for our party of 8. It was VERY loud. You could only talk to the person immediately next to you.

You can't beat the location. Service was very good and the food was delicious. The open deck area can be sunny, but they have plenty of umbrellas to help shade your table. Will definitely go back again.

Our server Jillian was amazing, very attentive and friendly. We both had a delicious ****** Mary , I had salmon with tomato, onion, cream cheese and capers. It was delicious. Husband had French toast it was very thick and was just bread without egg in middle, very hard to cut. Atmosphere was beautiful sat on deck overlooking the river. I enjoyed breakfast. Again Jillian was great.

Overall, things were good. We had a great table on the water overlooking the docks. The fried clams were very good. I had the vegetable ravioli which was also.very good. Our server, Nina, was excellent; knowledgeable with a good sense of humor. We would ask for her again. On the negative side, not only was the band way too loud, they weren't very good. They added nothing and detracted from the dining experience

Have only been for drinks in the past. Brought friends for dinner and the service and food was exceptional. Had the horseradish crusted haddock which was fresh and delicious. Virgilio's bread is a must. Good wine list and fun cocktails.
