We stopped here for beer and they have a nice selection to choose from. This review is just on the refreshment side. I had the Blood Orange wheat beer from the Full Sail Brewing Company in Oregon. Others tried flights and IPAs. . Service was on the slow but friendly. Still, it's a good place to stop for a cold one. View all feedback.
What Collette B doesn't like about Tap Room:
Bummer came in with high expectations and ordered something other than pizza and was a bad idea. Had something from their new menu Hibernation . The chicken strips on the mashed potatoes were kinda gross and seemed like the meet was cooked in a microwave. I should have gone to Raising Canes for the best chicken strips!! Also got the buffalo cauliflower appetizer and was nothing like it thought it was and small and ju... View all feedback.
My first visit at an Old Chicago was on New Year's Eve at the Merrillville, IN location. I enjoyed the visit so much, I decided to try the Tucson location over the MLK weekend. I had joined the OC club that allows you to accumulate points for each visit. I also discovered that as a club member, you get a $17 discount on a medium one-topping pizza for your birthday and you have a week to take advantage of that. My birthday is on the 20th and I visited on the 19th. Finding that out, I decided to try their Veggie 7 pizza. The pizza was large enough for two people! I also had two craft beers. It was Happy Hour, so the pizza and two beers was only $12. (The pizza alone is $19.29) The pizza was loaded with crisp vegetables and the crust had a buttery crispiness to it. It was a very tasty meal accentuated with fast and friendly service. This is a large restaurant with a big parking area. I do plan to return to this place as I got a coupon for a free appetizer with my meal here. I'm also impressed with the late operating hours. This places closes at 2am on the weekends. I didn't realize that Tucsonans stay up so late!

I feel bad for the wait staff because they are great just DO NOT order anything other than pizza and wings and drinks.
I went here for a happy hour on a Thursday night. The food took quite awhile to come out, but the server was very attentive. I think there may be a problem with production in the kitchen. I came at a time that was barely busy and still waited quite awhile. There are great options for the happy hour, including a selection of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and a couple of dishes like an individual pepperoni pizza. I ordered the fried mac n cheese appetizer which was great. It was fried mac n cheese with a side of cheese sauce and spicy ketchup-cocktail-ish sauce. I ordered an individual chicago thick pizza with an assortment of meats. I can't remember the name of it but there was sausage, pepperoni, and onions, and something else. When I think of Chicago thick pizza, I'm expected the real stuff. The deep dish pizza that's thick like a piece of pie. That's not the case here so that was a bit shocking to me. However, flavors were decent albeit slightly too salty for my palate. I'd say this place deserves 3.5 stars.
Consistent but average. They do average really well. And they are consistent if nothing else. I was lured in by an email advertising $8 burgers on a Wednesday and 6 hours later I was still thinking about the idea of a good, cheap burger. I don't eat red meat but nowadays I'm pretty spoiled with great turkey burger or even chicken burger sandwiches. Old Chicago offers neither. I can forgive the chicken sandwich (at least being on the burger menu) but cmon... in 2018 every establishment should offer a great, solid turkey burger option. Instead, I was drafted to the veggie burger, which, while not terrible, looks like the standard frozen pattie you get at the grocery store when you're pretending to be vegetarian to **** off your parents or impress some hipster. The veggie burger certainly didn't do the trick for me tonight. Fires were fine, but they're fries, and hard to mess up. Alcohol: I ordered my standard preference: a Moscow Mule, and it was, well, fine. At least they're consistent right? I will say this one thing. If over ever been really dissatisfied with anything at Old Chicago, be it good, beverage, or service, the manager has always been quick to rectify the situation and I leave, content or at least satisfied, consistently.
