Happ's Place

Happ's Place is just down the road from our 2nd home in Glenville, NC. We love having someplace close while we're in town to grab a bite to eat and enjoy a friendly game of cornhole while listening to live music. We also love to take our guests here for the same reasons. The back porch is our favorite, with the bar, bandstand, putting course, cornhole and outside sitting area. In the winter, they have a big ole fire in the fireplace.

Such a great place. Late lunch best burger around. Very pleasant atmosphere and super friendly service.

Fun restaurant and music venue near the lake in Glenville. The atmosphere is very relaxed and enjoyable. The staff are friendly helpful. The outdoor space has a huge bar, live music venue, lawn games is dog-friendly. We brought our large, but laid back, dog enjoyed covered patio seating near the stage. We had the special surf turf for two. The meat was tender flavorful literally fell off the bone. The vegetables were flavorful filling. However, the crab legs were overdone hard to eat. Restrooms were very clean. Overall this was a good experience. Plenty of free parking, but you may have to walk a bit.

Great atmosphere. Dined for both lunch and dinner several times. Pizza good but seems a bit pricey even for Cashiers. Great music! Last time dinner was not so good. My wife’s steak on ceasar came out considerably later than my trout and then it was too rare. Trout very good but the green beans and beets (out of advertised carrots) were clearly canned vegetables. Not worth $35. Maybe will try pizza again but probably not dinner.
