Caffè Rel - Franklin
Caffè Rel
Description
**Culinary Delights in Unexpected Places**
Nestled within a gas station, this restaurant boasts an eclectic menu that tantalizes the taste buds. Diners rave about standout dishes like carbonara and decadent chocolate cake, often declaring it among the best in the region. However, the experience is marred by inconsistent service, where patrons feel rushed and unwelcomed, particularly families with children. Despite the cozy atmosphere and commendable cuisine, the owner's brusque demeanor and lack of accommodating policies leave some diners longing for a more pleasant experience. Ultimately, the food shines, yet the service leaves much to be desired, creating a complex dining experience.

Incredible food and our server Steven was great. Unmatched quality and incredible dishes!
On our 53rd wedding anniversary, we decided to relax and have a meal at the most acclaimed restaurant in Franklin, NC. We were greeted and seated and given options for drinks. Our server, Stephan, was very attentive and made us feel at home. We had a moment of conversation that created a sense of interest on both sides. Our meal was exceptional as always and our server was attentive without over powering. We were actually treated very well. I highly recommend the experience of dining at Caffe’ Rel.
Exceptional dinner, service, and ... Not what you would expect from a gas station restaurant, so pretty nice atmosphere too! Very unique to the area and worth the 45 minute drive to try something new. I'll definitely be back to try other options from their fairly large menu. It was hard to choose, but I had the blue crab soup and black mussels, both delicious! Wifey's fish n chips, and friends' scallops and snails n tails were also delightful. Also large portions with decent prices. Already looking forward to going again, bon appetit!
Gluten free menu, server was really nice. I was really amazed at the quality of food, the shrimp and grits were outstanding.
