Pecos Bill's is a must-visit spot for me, especially since it was the only thing that Huell Houser missed on his show "California's Gold." The sandwiches they serve should definitely be in the BBQ Hall of Fame - I've had hundreds of them myself. Even my late wife Lynette had to have one right after she was born. I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The sandwiches were overly salty and lacked flavor, with a watery and muddy consistency. Adding a sauce would greatly improve the dish. The pulled pork sandwiches seemed to be missing the BBQ flavor and meat pieces, similar to something I could make at home in a Crock Pot. The $8 price seemed a bit high for the quality.
