Here are some drinks on a hot summer day and it was really refreshing! Asked for two Gin Tonics per the server's recommendations and the drinks were well balanced, looked great and tasted excellent View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Ombra Wine And Craft Cocktails:
The food was moderate. When I ordered Amici Salad and asked the waiter if there was any meat, she assured that there was no meat. The salad came in with sausage... I sent the salad right away, didn't even eat anything. The waiter apologized and we ordered another salad. After all, they accused us of both salads. Very bizarre. Spaghettini Frutti do Mare was just fine, Lobster Ravioli were also meh. Definitely will not... View all feedback.
3/12/23 champagne at 12:20. Actually, we had to sit ourselves because the server didn't feel like he went to us on the host booth lol. There were only 3 4 other parties, so it was a slow hour. The service was disappointing (they need a proper training) and so was the food. I even had to tie one of the waiters down to ask for plates that our appetizer is unacceptable. Don't waste your time and money here. The only pro of eating here is the outdoor ambience and drinks, but that's it. We only waited for 2 salads for 40 minutes if it wasn't even busy. We also ordered roasted potatoes and completely forgot them while we ate our salads and I told them they just cancel it. Also an insect found on my tomatoes from my salad (see picture). Eating here is BELOW mediocre. Cesar Salat is not even a real Cesar Dressing had too much of a Mayo base. Where are the anchovies? Cracked pepper and salt?? How will you charge $20 for a salad that tastes worse than a trader Joe's salad? The chicken for the salad was also tasteless! Fried Calamari is Bland and only the spicy marinara sauce that comes with it, there is some taste, but we still ate it because we were so hungry. I'll never come back, not even for the drinks.
Ombra is my way to the pit stop when I'm at the Americana. A bit expensive but they have the best cocktails and the food is also really good! The service was always great there, so I always feel at home. I love the small outdoor restaurant with a beautiful view of the well. I'd like to go there at night if I don't have the kids! I bet it's another experience.
Yikes. Plus side... we sat in nice chairs... facing the stage... lovely music on a beautiful day with my lover! Cons: if a been happier on the free ASTRO turf,a foot away from me... with a picnic or a coffee... and saved 80 bucks! The tagliere literally was 4 small cubes of cheese,4 spicy peppers, 2 slices of salame, 2 of prosciutto (bland wax) and mortadella and 2 slices of yummy oiled bread. We shared an expensive plate of Carbonara that lacked pepper, and taste... overcooked bacon.... This bar has all the ambiance and menu of an Italian meal... but the flavors are all off! Next time we'll bring a packed lunch!
Nice and friendly staff, food and wine quality really really subpar! My wife and I ordered 2 separate dishes and red and white wine. Food was like canned and microwaved food and my wine had no taste.
