Food is amazing and made with fresh ingredients. You can tell the love and care that goes into making this delicious food. 10 out of 10. Thanks to Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives for spotlighting this local spot. Service is phenomenal. Full house with 1 server, 1 bartender, and 1 cook and still knocking out amazing food and atmosphere. Definitely coming back for more. View all feedback.
What Myrtie Veum doesn't like about La Santisima Gourmet Taco Shop:
The main dishes at this restaurant were exceptional. I ordered the mahi burrito and my son had the steak tacos. However, the beans had a strange taste and seemed spoiled, so we did not eat them. I informed the staff about it. View all feedback.
I had lunch at this restaurant and had a negative experience. The prices were high and the service was poor. There was only one waitress and the restaurant was busy at 1pm. It took her almost 30 minutes to come to my table and another 15 minutes to bring me a drink after I reminded her. The food took over an hour to arrive and when it finally did, I was disappointed. I ordered the Quesas La Santisima Specialty Chicken with beans and rice, but it was just average. The flavor was not outstanding and it was very oily. I did not even receive the beans and rice that I had ordered, but I was not going to wait any longer for them. The price of $18 for the Quesas was too high, especially considering they wanted an additional $3 for the beans and rice. It felt like I should have received the beans and rice with the meal. Overall, it felt like an overpriced Mexican calzone. I may give them another chance, but first impressions are important. It's a shame because I really wanted to like this place.
This restaurant is truly exceptional! The variety of salsas they offer is amazing and their tacos are incredible! The staff is outstanding as well. My companion and I tried a selection of tacos and we both agreed that they were all fantastic. Their horchata is also unique and delicious. If you enjoy gourmet tacos, you must visit this place. You will definitely want to return because their extensive menu offers so many other tempting options to try!
This was my first time trying this restaurant and it wasn't bad. My only suggestion would be to provide more information on the menu to help customers make informed choices. The dishes we did order were tasty. I particularly enjoyed the specialty chicken taco, which was delicious and full of flavor. I'm usually quite picky about refried beans, but theirs were enjoyable.
My family and I decided to try La Santísima Tacos in Glendale, AZ, after seeing it on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. I can say we were not disappointed. I had the fried queen and it was amazing. My wife had the mixed tacos and the mole sauce was unique, it had a nice kick to it. She also loved the baby shark taco. The only downside was the clutter in the rest of the restaurant, they should definitely move that storage container out of the way. Other than that, everything was perfect. We would definitely come back, maybe next time we'll check out the original location on 16th Ave. Thank you!
You won't realize how fantastic it is until you try it. The food is not meant to be rushed; it's more than just a quick taco fix, it's an experience that pays homage to traditional Mexican cuisine with a unique twist.
