Despite high expectations, the food and service fell short for some diners, with average dishes and slow service dampening the overall experience. On the other hand, those who enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere, delicious food offerings, and extensive beer selection found themselves singing praises of the establishment. From the unique concept of a sample menu to the flavorful dishes like beef rendang and prawn chive dumplings, there were plenty of highlights to savor. While the volume of music may have hindered conversations for some, the overall consensus seemed to be that this Asian-inspired eatery is definitely worth a visit for its quality cuisine and lively ambiance.
I love Asian restaurants, but I was really luke warm with Hawker Hall. The menu looked quite interesting, with dishes from all around Asia. However I found the food a bit lacking in flavour. It is certainly very popular thigh and gets packed out despite being such a large venue. They are quite accommodating with splitting bills and they provide high chairs, which was quite useful for our group.
Food was really yummy . Cocktails are ok, not amazing. Food is priced well, cocktails are on the expensive side. Really big beer list. Pipi dish and beef rendang is recommended.
We enjoy coming here for lunch. Some items such as the gado gado are fast becoming favourites. We also had the grilled chicken which came with rice . It would have been improved with a small side salad. There is a lot of offerings and we look forward to trying more out.
Don't get me wrong, amazing service and very tasty food. But wow this place is extremely noisy and has very loud music on for a Sunday night, we could barely have a conversation between our 8 people which was very disappointing and once we asked to have it turned down, we were told that because there is a DJ they won't. Also my parts of my chicken dish were slightly pink, but the waitress was very accommodating to that. I would visit again but definitely wouldn't come here for a family catch up, maybe a night out with friends.
Perhaps one of my favourite dishes of all time, the oxtail dumplings, have been dropped off the menu. Apparently because they had issues with consistency and hence the reason. I have had this dish so many times and it has been great every time.
