Must be embedded in their culture .... Breaking bread every Friday; I'm referring to the Sabbath would require a bread, hence baking bread would be a daily thing, a skill they honed to perfection. The Jewish people have been doing it for thousands of years, hence nothing fancy nor artisan but their stuff is just divine. Always a joy visiting Glick's, although it's far far away ...... Friendly staff, delicious bagels and other baked tasty. unpredictable, tasty, old school offers for cheap trips. they use too much plastic. If/if they cut back their unnecessary use of plastic bags, I will change my review very happy to 5 stars.
Finally, glicks must try today after it on my list for an eternality. with chewy, squishy bagels fresh from the ofen. my mouth only wateres that. the hype is guaranteed, the bagels are extremely good.
Glick is my way to buy challah. they sell challah without the egg wash and allow an ethical shabbat experience. make sure they have cash as they do not accept a card for purchases under $10.
I’ve had their bagels and challah which were amazing from Safeway So I decided to try the fresh version Their pastries are mediocre, nothing special Yet their bagels once again were the most amazing ones I’ve had I would only return there to have their bagels and challah, which are so addictive Would recommend
This place does some things really well including bagels, egg dip and fish balls. Their cakes though are just ordinary. They also make the best challah in melbourne, especially on Fridays
