What Garfield Schaefer doesn't like about Allora Cucina:
A relatively small local restaurant and a bit on the noisy side. Our calamari starter was very good and my wife's gnocchi was lamb ragu and apparently very enjoyable. I always think a good test in an Italian restaurant is to try their homemade lasagna. I did and it was inedible. Absolutely terrible. Certainly not fresh and very little meat sauce to be seen. Friends helped us to discover this Italian gem tucked away in suburban McKinnon. Its a great mix of suburban Melbourne and the typical cucinas we found tucked away in Italy.
