This charming bakery is located at the NPS Glen Echo Park site. It offers a variety of drinks, sandwiches, and, of course, delicious baked goods. I tried a pumpkin cookie and a lemon drop cookie, both of which were fantastic. At $3 per cookie, they weren't the cheapest option, but the quality was excellent and the setting was enchanting. I visited around 3 PM, so the selection was limited, but those cookies were trul... View all feedback.
What Mark Fudge doesn't like about Praline Bakery Bistro Glen Echo Park:
I didn't end up making a purchase, but I once stopped by while I was relaxing in the park to see what they had and possibly buy some pastries. However, when I approached the front desk, there was a rather unfriendly-looking guy who just stared at me. It made me feel really uncomfortable, so I ended up leaving. View all feedback.
Visited the Glen Echo Park Praline bakery shop on a weekend. The pistachio chocolate croissant was great! Came back on a weekday during February and their sign is posted as open Sat. 10-4 and Sun. 10-3.
Very sad and disappoint place. There is absolutely nothing to buy. Empty shelves and broken coffee maker. Missed opportunity in such a great location.
I’ve been here twice— the first time, they had almost nothing offered on the menu and didn’t even have a knife to cut the sandwiches in half for us. The second time (today) there were teenagers working there and once again, no ice cream and a nearly empty pastry case. The sodas were $3 this place has an opportunity to really make some people happy and make some money doing it but they’re just opting out. Free advice: they should move this to the candy shop space right by the entrance, it’ll get more attention.
This has been our favorite bakery for years. Through the pandemic they offered curbside and phone orders that were a huge help. Definitely try the apple-walnut turnovers and the French onion soup.
I had no experience because after making a reservation on Resy for 2:45 and arriving at 2:45 on Valentine's Day, my husband and I were first ignored on the lower level and then rudely turned away upstairs, stating that the restaurant was closed and my reservation was at 2:15. Assuming, it was changed by the Resy to 2:15, why would you close a restaurant 15min after the last reservation. Bottom line is the staff was extremely rude and on Valentine's Day no less. They won't have to worry about us patronizing or recommending their establishment in the future.
