This was the second time we had used the Dust, with friends to show off the Tramshed as a great revamp of an old disused building. On both occasions we only wanted a small bite to fill the midday gap at a good price. The Dust provides that requirement perfectly. Good, quick, and simple service. Of course the Tramshed, itself, provides the whole smorgasbord of requirement at the other restaurants. View all feedback.
What SOPRANOSydney doesn't like about Dust:
This was our second time there. A little surprised to find that now you need to order at counter as there is no more table service any more since new people took over. Our second time there I must say was very bad the waitress told us she was French could not really speak English well. Mean while the person that was teaching her could speak English but was not the best person to be teaching her as she was not the bes... View all feedback.
We had an awesome experience at Dust on a rainy Sunday night. We sat right next to the chef who cheerfully chatted with us while making delicious pizzas. The 'spreadable salami ' entree was very yummy and unique, our pizzas were awesome, very fresh and fantastic bread. Great service, happy staff. At the end they even gave us six hot cross buns for free to take home
Dust makes everything in house including milling their own flour! You can see the mill at work through an enclosed glass area. All the breads and pastries look tempting. I enjoyed the croissants, danish with mushrooms, the brioche looking donut, palmier which is a little different with fennel. The cinnamon scrolls are also great as is their hot cross buns which is dense which is how a traditional bun should be. The almond cake with passionfruit curd was zingy I loved the curd more then the cake. The breads have a lovely flavour are dense in texture. Coffee is made well and made with a big smile from the friendly bariata. For lunch or dinner, there is such a huge array of dishes that would please any taste or dietary requirement. Pastas made from freshly milled flour not often you get that! Gluten free spelt fettuccini with that nutty tasty denser texture, paired perfectly with earthy mushrooms sage. Or generous palm sized meatballs with spaghetti. The beetroot salad is simple, beautiful and delicious. With sweet roasted yellow red beetroot dotted with piped white goats curd. Whatever you choose, you can be assured that young and old and whatever your taste will be well looked after, by a team of staff with big smiles generous, warm hospitality.
DUST has changed my view of bread never going to eat shop bought bread again! They have their own stone mill in house which makes a more nutritious form of flour. The pizza and bread are amazing (and the coffee). I would highly recommend it. Staff are very passionate about what they're doing they are really happy to show you the mill if you ask!
Love the fact that they grind their own flour bake their own goodies. Very friendly service great atmosphere. Coffee snack we tried were top notch.
Had wood fired pizza here. and its a real wood fire oven not gas powered. It was really nice and tasty. filled all of us up. We will be back. price is pretty good as well not to expensive.
