Reviews praise Balbir's ambience and staff; pakoras excel but some mains, garlic breads and portion sizes drew mixed feedback — note voucher policy.

Once again outstanding in all respects. A little noisy but that was mainly due to it being almost full. Would recommend it any time but unfortunately last opportunity to eat there is during the next eight days as it closes for good on August 28th. Will be sorely missed.

We are saddened that Balbirs has closed, and we will not be able to return as a family in the future.

Balbirs provided an excellent experience as always, but with a touch of sadness. The ambience was great as usual, with a more festive atmosphere as diners enjoyed what was called their "last supper" at the West End location. Unfortunately, Balbirs is closing in the West End but will continue in Ayrshire. I can't help but wonder if they will still deliver...

More information

Balbir's menu and tag mix hints at a willingness to experiment — alongside classic Indian plates their listings once included Italian elements (pasta/aglio) and cocktails, suggesting occasional fusion or off‑menu specials. Also, while many remember the pakora as reliably excellent, the team has historically updated menu photos and dish names online, so checking the current menu or confirming spice levels on arrival can save surprises.
