The atmosphere was warm and friendly, the restaurant is beautifully done, and the food was absolutely delicious! The owner recommended a quite lovely local white wine, as well as some food choices. All were superb!

We sat outside on the small terrace but inside also loo... read more We recently visited this town for the first time and decided on lunch at this very welcoming restaurant. We sat outside on the small terrace but inside also looked very inviting. The menu was extremely varied and it was difficult to choose something because, unusually, we could have eaten everything on offer! We had a glass of the local reisling white wine for aperitif which was excellent. My husband chose the daily special of salad followed by singapore noodles with prawns, I chose fried perch/pike with salad. All the food was well cooked, well presented and delicious. Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert but we both had coffee which was served with home made biscuits which was a nice touch. The waiter was also extremely friendly. The bathroom was spotless. So glad we came here and would return in a heatbeat. Thoroughly recommended.

We are not great Swiss-German speakers but the waiter spoke slowly and clearly for us to understand and was very friendly. We also had delicious local Glaris wine from Bürgli Wy ! A restaurant to recommend whenever you pass by Glarus ;
