Piper's Pub - Gladwin
Piper's Pub
Description
Piper’s Pub is a small‑town, pub‑style eatery known for standout nachos, big wings, pizza and friendly, fast staff at reasonable prices. Regulars swear by many menu items and a new bean‑burger option, but quality is inconsistent: some burgers arrive cold or reheated, pizzas can be underbaked, and to‑go orders are sometimes incorrect. Busy nights skew very local and can feel cliquey. Worth a try for casual meals and beers, but come with modest expectations for consistency.

Been going here my whole life with my family because we have a cottage up here. Finally had the privilege of visiting and taking my girlfriend here. The pizza was great, came out hot, cheesy, and loaded with toppings. We got 3 drinks each and some appetizers too without breaking the bank. The service was quick and kind, my girlfriend went on a Pull-tabs shopping spree because she’s never been to a place that has them before, and our waitress loved helping her cash them out and enjoy the experience. She kept winning singles $1) and just tried to open as many as possible for the fun of it- I think we might’ve went through 40, but again the waitress was so kind. Overall, this place is a must visit. Come get a legitimately top tier pizza and have yourself a beer. The people are so kind, the place is clean and has a good atmosphere. Kid-friendliness: It’s a bar. bring your kid when the sun is out. We went to have dinner (party of 4), while waiting for the towns annual Christmas parade to begin. Disappointed to arrive and find that EVERY seat in the place was reserved by the locals, so we were only able to stand and have a drink and place a to-go order and eat in our vehicle. Food was typical bar food. Atmosphere was slightly uncomfortable, as our group was NOT local and we were clearly taking up space. Bar maid was friendly and apologetic about the situation. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2
The pizza we ordered on our annual stay a Grandma's house for holidays was a great disappointment... While we love to go to Piper's, and Jade was awesome I might add.. the pizza we ordered, which was 16$ , we could have got better at Caesars next door... The cook, chef.. whatever forgot to put sauce on it.. let alone the rude comments from patrons that we were out of towners... My family has lived in wooden shoe for over a 100 years what a crying shame Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
November 29th went to Pipers with my wife. We have been coming for years and food always great, seen the YouTube video with new owner and decided to go there. Waitress didn't want us at the large table by bar, said we sit here when we come others can sit if they come, nope table in back. I got the Sassy Bleu burger, wife got an other burger. 1st off I see they changed from a deli bun to a cost efficient grocery store bun, the burgers came out quick, I was suprized, mine was cold but I started eating it, wife complained said hers cold, after a couple other comments she said touch it,, I did, it was refrigerator cold cheese and refrigerator cold bun, especially on the bottom. I said stop!, called over waitress and said what it was, oh sorry was mentioned, I said touch it,, please touch it your cook needs to know,, she did touch it, she said she was gonna tell cook. Came out said I'd get employee pricing, I did not know what that would be. 7 bucks off 31 bill. What the cook is doing is cooking many burgers then setting them out for reheat, and obviously not to point of being hot at all. Refrigerator cold bun n cheese all packaged around a luke warm meat patty,, wtf. In summary 16 bucks for burger n fries refrigerator cold on a grocery store bun, (fries were hot) Sorry new owner but I was kinda pissed and probably would have been done right if you were at the Pub at the time. Price per person: $30–50 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
