What I ate: Lemongrass Chicken Baguette<br/ <br/ From: Wild Leaf Vietnamese Cuisine<br/ <br/ Payment type: cash, debit, and credit cards (Two thumbs up <br/ <br/ Preparation wait time: Approx 10 min<br/ <br/ Flavour Rating: 3.5 out of 5<br/ <br/ Value Rating: 4 out of 5<br/ <br/ Would eat again: Yes!<br/ <br/ To make it better: I 'd recommend a bigger baguette, using liver spread in combination with mayo, and even stronger Lemongrass flavour.<br/ <br/ Chef 's take on it:<br/ <br/ As surprising as it may sound, this 'Lemongrass Chicken Baguette ' is quite flavourful! Although the baguette itself is a tad bit smaller than the usual Vietnamese Banh Mi, it is crunchy and soft at the same time.<br/ <br/ I myself, take pride in making my own version of Lemongrass chicken and I can say that i was pleasantly surprised by the flavours this sandwich pack.<br/ <br/ Chicken was tender, juicy, and flavourful. Pickled vegetables are delightfully crunchy and tangy but sweet at the same time. you can see lettuce and cilantro hiding in between the succulent chicken and fresh pickled carrots and daikon radish.<br/ <br/ There was no jalapeno inside, so it is kid-friendly (the same as my taste buds . I wonder if you could ask for a side of it though...<br/ <br/ I measure vietnamese restaurants by its lemongrass dishes. The boldness and unpretentious flavour that you can derive for this wonderful herb and Wild Leaf earn a 3.5 star out of 5! I 'd recommend it to my friends who are looking for something different than noodle in soup : <br/ <br/ Thanks for the meal Wild Leaf. Keep it up!<br/ <br/ [hidden link]
