The terrace is beautiful and cozy, the owners lovely, locals swing by for a beer and a chat and the atmosphere is familial. We always make sure to come here when we visit the area.

It 's located along a peaceful street, surrounded by... read more If you find yourself nearby the small city of Giuggianello you have to stop at the restaurant Il Palazzo . It 's located along a peaceful street, surrounded by typical salentinian buildings and looking at a small fountain. I started with a mix of appetizers that I strongly suggest to anyone who wants to taste a lot of different dishes. Portions are big so you can split each appetizer for 2-3 people. Then, as first course, I choose the spaghetti allo scoglio (reef spaghetti). I think it was one of the best reef spaghetti I have ever eaten. As it was said to me, they uses biological spaghetti which maintains the cooking very well. I hope to have the possibility to go there next year and taste one of the many second courses they have in the menu. Desserts are also good and typical of the area. I appreciated the cordiality of the waiting staff who was available to share all kind of information about the fresh fish they cook and the localities you can see in the Salento area. If you love fish food, you have to go to Il Palazzo .
