This place is one of the best places I was travelling in my years. The bungalows feel luxurious but have this incredible island feel. Having made me through all the nutritious, vegetarian menu, I can say that I always come for more. The slope-out area and pool is where I spent most of my afternoons. This place offers a large co-working room with a beautiful view of the pool. Everything was so on the point, but for me what stands out is the staff and the owners of captain coconuts. With their warm and hospitable energy they feel captain coconuts like your home away from home. I would recommend staying here if you visit Gili Air. Thank you to the crew, I am very grateful for all the advice for things around the island, laughing and good times! I'll be back soon.

Captain Coconut is one of our most popular places to stay somewhere in the world, and we were around the block. It is really not much better than this as a base to really get in and enjoy the wonderfully authentic and quiet Gili Air Island Vibe. Half a minute walk to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, it is beautifully hidden away and offers better privacy, cosiness and enjoyment than most “on the beach resorts”. Whether you're looking for a 5-star hotel or a magical boutique hotel, there are fantastic options on site to meet several budgets that provide all the top notch experiences thanks to the whole place operated by wonderful owners who have made Captain Coconut their work of love. You can't help but feel on the grounds every day. The whole staff is incredibly welcoming, helpful and friendly in the most authentic way you can not help but in a great mood of the moment you set the foot in the bar in the morning for a delicious breakfast, have a bathroom in the pool during the afternoon or take dinner and a drink. Another icing on the cake is a super sweet little shop attached to the hotel with beautifully curated local products. They also arranged a moonlight film night for us and spent time playing chess with our youngest children's play. Sure to say we had a hard time to leave and cannot recommend that enough. We'll be safe for a third stay.

We never wanted to leave! Thank you Captain Coconuts for the incredible 5 start worthy stay! From the time of arrival, welcomed by the most friendly staff and supported to our beautiful bungalow, we knew that this beautiful oasis stay will be one for the books and it was! We can't blame this stay at all! It was perfection, clean healthy food, friendly staff, beautiful bungalows, beautiful pool surrounded by palm trees and just a few minutes walk from the beach and restaurants! Did I say the best coffee?! We'll be safe next time.

This place is soo amazing and the stuff is so friendly. Our 3-bedrooms villa was so comfy, and we could easily work from there as well. Captain Coconuts has a huge shared pool and a delicious café too. Our breakfast was amazing! We really liked the pancake. The place is so close to the beach that we could just easily walk there. I would recommend this place for families, couples and solo travelers too. They have villas for families, for romantic stay and a dormitory too for budget travellers.

This is the chicest place in Gili Air. Truly a sustainability-first beautifully designed, well executed and inviting oasis. I walked into what I thought was a Vogue photo shoot- the joglos, pool and community space were beautifully maintained, playlist was low vibe eclectic, everyone was chill and beautiful- it was very inviting. I ate here probably 6 times during my 2 week stay on the island. The menu is vegan: fresh, delicious and consistent. They run 100% on solar energy, and are keen on operating to minimize their impact on Mother Nature, and it shows. You MUST make your way here if you’re on Gili Air!
