Contribute Feedback What Silvia Fernández doesn't like about Merendero El Chabolu:
Earn fame and go to sleep... literally. If you are going to charge me 110 bucks for 2 tortillas, 2 servings of croquettes, 1 calamari and 2 cider sausages bread, 4 beers, 4 soft drinks and water), at least bring them to me... and don't make me go up and down 5 times also literal). I don't understand why so many idle boys employed on the ground floor or watching upstairs. You will tell me, if you don't like it, don't... View all feedback.
We stopped off here for a few glasses of local cider poured in the traditional way, for early evening drinks. Slightly away from the main roads, you probably would not come here unless you knew about it in advance. Family friendly, with lots of children, enjoying drinks and pinchos in the large garden in the rear, where we enjoyed our cider in the evening sunshine. The only downside was the limited toilets for the garden. I guess there are more inside.
Four of us went for lunch on Saturday 1st August..The place is beautiful with a very rural atmosphere. Sadly, the food was very, very bad and the attitude of the manager when we voiced our discontent was to argue with us. When the bill arrived they'd charged us for limo when we had ordered escalopines no difference in price but another indication of the slapdash attitude. We vowed never to return .
Mercedes bueno, bonito y barato. Buen servicio y buena comida
Para comer en plan merendero está bien. Las tapas salen muy rápido, es comida típica asturiana, y el sitio es agradable.
Típico merendero alrededor de Gijón, en el que reina la tortilla y todo lo demás, que está muy rico
