It was more than we imagined it could be.... Ricardo is a genius !!! Every dish was so exquisite that it was impossible to decide upon which was our favourite.
Splendid food, super tasting and well crafted dishes on beautifull plates. Ricardo, the chef is not only truly passionate but also very caring and enthusiastic towards his clientele. Relaxed atmosphere in a meticulously designed setting.
This diner was fabuleus!! We stayed for 4 days in Gijon and this one was absolutely the best! Great diner with an excellent way of Taste and a very good atmosphere. Thank you for this wonderful evening!
We cannot recommend this place enough. It has no menu, you get the 5 course tasting menu of the day. So don’t go if you are fussy or unadventurous. However, two of our group were pescatarian and they were happy to accommodate that because we had let them know in advance. Everything was superb, world class standard. And it’s incredible value for money for such gourmet food. The place is small, about 6 tables, and the friendly chef came out to introduce each dish. Worth a special trip.
Being welcomed by the chef and owner was just the start. Yes we were the first customers of the day and not Spanish, but we seemed to enjoy special attention from the chef. He did tell us he enjoyed practising his English. Chef delivered every dish, all 8, to our table with a detailed explanation. They were both fantastic and interesting. Yes there were 2 we found challenging to our tastes, but the other 6 were divine and you go a restaurant like this to be challenged as well as entertained. Service was fantastic from the sommelier too. So helpful providing great choices. Highly recommended.
