Visited the cafe after being advised by friends about it. I don't know where to start. Beautiful premises with a large open fire for those cold winter days. Great lawn area for the kids to play with the provided sports balls including soccer and footballs.Menu was varied and great options for vegeterians. We weren't too hungry as we had eaten some food at the neareby Noble Falls. So had the Bruschetta. The food was n... View all feedback.

Prooerty is amazing, rustic and looks and is inviting inside and out. Service though seemed to be disorganized with inexperienced staff & no one managing the floor. Dropped in on a wet Wednesday for lunch after a drive through the hills. Very old rustic pub, log fire & serving the best steak sandwich I've had in ages!
I and 8 of my Senior Friends went back to the Wild Goose for the Seniors Lunch & had a great time , The food was great & the service excellent. R Sara (FCIA)ret
We booked for lunch with friends and enjoyed our meal by the biggest open fire I've ever seen! Impressive building with its superbly crafted wood everywhereMy girlfriend and I ordered the lamb shank and struggled to get through our serves. The men ordered pork spare ribs and needed a dessert to satisfy their appetites. Lacking the edge of five-star quality (apart from the size of the serving of the ribs!) it was definitely cooked appropriately and served up nicely. When it came to coffees after a quick visit to the soap factory just outside the restaurant we were directed out doors, which I found surprising. Perhaps our comment about the loud music was met with the suggestion. It was a bit of a shame as we would have liked to sit on the lounge chairs near the fire but the amplifiers drowned out conversation. It's my second visit there, and each time has been fine, but the wait staff need training in timing their service, like not grabbing the plates too soon after finishing the meal and in their general manner in approaching the table. The meals and drinks had to be ordered and paid for at the bar, while the staff brought them to the table. For the price, one would anticipate full table service. Overall it was a pleasant meal and venue, worth a visit.

Visited Wild Goose Cafe today with a group of friends. We had opted for either the seniors lunch or the Christmas in July menu. The setting is stunning and the decor is great, but the lunches were very disappointing. I regret to say that not one of our group enjoyed their meal, and we didn't think it was good value. Please up your game, you have a great venue but the food leaves much to be desired.
