What User doesn't like about Sima Japanese Restaurant:
I ordered the salmon and tuna sashimi which was very fresh and good. I also had two rolls one yellow tail and scallion which lacked scallion and it was very tasteless and I had another roll, can't remember which one but I think it had eel and salmon it had too much red Korean hot sauce. I would try this place again and try something else. View all feedback. What User likes about Sima Japanese Restaurant:
I usually go to another sushi restaurant in Gibsons but it was closed. I decided to try Sima at the Sunnycrest Mall. It was packed which made me wonder why we had never been there. I wanted take out so chose my meal from the menu and left. Everything I ordered was ready in about 15 minutes.....just when they estimated. The food was delicious and the servings were generous. Going there for my b-day on the 26th and 27 just mostly for the sushi then back to Powell River.

read moreSima restaurant in Gibsons offers a mixed dining experience. While some customers find the sushi rolls to be too rice-heavy, others enjoy the generous portions and delicious fish. The service is friendly and efficient, but the overall cleanliness of the restaurant is lacking. The menu is well-loved by many, with traditional dishes like Sashimi and Teriyaki receiving praise. Despite issues with presentation and food quality in some cases, the consistent service and flavorful dishes keep customers coming back for more. If you're craving sushi and willing to overlook some drawbacks, Sima may be worth a visit.
