I usually go to another sushi restaurant in Gibsons but it was closed. I decided to try Sima at the Sunnycrest Mall. It was packed which made me wonder why we had never been there. I wanted take out so chose my meal from the menu and left. Everything I ordered was ready in about 15 minutes.....just when they estimated. The food was delicious and the servings were generous. What User doesn't like about Sima Japanese Restaurant:
I ordered the salmon and tuna sashimi which was very fresh and good. I also had two rolls one yellow tail and scallion which lacked scallion and it was very tasteless and I had another roll, can't remember which one but I think it had eel and salmon it had too much red Korean hot sauce. I would try this place again and try something else. View all feedback.
Rather pricey for what you get and there are better restaurants in Gibsons. The location is not the best, for that price I rather be on the water and not in a shopping mall.
We have had dinner here twice in the month have been v isiting Gibsons. I liked the food we had both times. Clean tasting and delicious. Service was great too.
The food and service at this restaurant are decent and consistent. However, the location is in desperate need of some tender loving care and cleaning. The prices are reflective of the overall experience.
I their defense it was a very busy night. My dinner was good. A bit pricey for what I got but I'm from the mainland and everything on the SS Coast seems high to me.
We were visiting friends in Gibsons and this place was recommended to us. Unfortunately, this may have been the worst Japanese I've experienced. I will say the service was friendly and timely, and the restaurant was fairly typical in decor. My daughter had the French Kiss roll and while she really enjoyed it, the rest of our meals were not good, in fact we left much of it on our plates and declined a doggy bag. We will not stop here again.
