Good food. Fast, friendly service. Only the problem is Extra Chilies are $5 that would never happen in Thailand. Like charging for tap water in a restaurant in Canada. I'd go back when the food was decent. Almost as good as All Thaied Up in Sechelt and better than the old Absolut Thai. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Friendly Thai:
I used to love this place about the pandemic, I always go. I got a lunch special from L11 today, it increased the price to 14 dollars from 12.50, which is understandable due to inflation. But the order I got (pad ped chicken) hardly had a chicken. Maybe 4 pieces small shrunk chicken breast. It is really disappointing to see that their quality drops. I might try it later.. We had ordered from friendly Thai during the pandemic, but I have to say I don't remember much dinner. This time we ate in the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. It must be said that Gibsons 't offer a very large selection, or numerous restaurants, so we were glad to discover them. The restaurant itself is very... ummm....down market; clean, but on the dark side with tables and stands, but give almost an old diner 's air. As it happens, I like that; it tells me that they don't invest in decor. Service was very fast and very friendly. The choice of beer was limited to two Thai decisions and two domestics. Again, not a problem that we didn't really come for the beer. Great menu choices, all usual Thai favorites, but we simplified it with dinner for two option $48, I think); Chickenberry and egg roll appies, green curry I asked for replacement for the red curry and they were happy to do it) pad thai and rice. We took everything in abundance home. And a tapioca like dessert name escapes me. The food was good, reason Thai food and the service was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed each other and will definitely come back.
Very friendly staff, the food was quite delicious. Was not as spicy as we were hoping to be super spicy, but as a whole amazing! If you love the pad Thai, will definitely come back for it. Food: 4 Service: 5 atmosphere: 5.
