I called the owner at 11:00 AM to order food for our family of four. The owner was very polite and invited us to come at 12:30 PM. I called the owner at 11:00am requesting for food for our family of 4. The owner was very courteous and invited us to come by 12:30. The fare was very simple, Dal,Rice,Roti & 1 sabji, but we really enjoyed it a lot. The food is prepared & served by the family itself. My 7 year old son is usually very finicky about eating. But at Hotel Kaka he liked the food so much, he asked for more & more & had his fill. The hotel is very conveniently located at just 5 minutes walk from MTDC. We did not even venture into any other hotel for our meals during our 2 day stay at Bhandardara.Hotel Kaka is THE Best option for vegetarian food at Bhandardara.
Nice home cooked gujarati/Marwari thali . Basic but tasty home like food which you will love in this place where hardly any options.
This restaurant is situated in the heart of Bhandardara village, right next to the S.T. Bus stand and five minutes from the MTDC Holiday Resort. The third generation owners operate this super clean restaurant that seats about 50 people strictly on a no-wastage policy. Prior intimation, therefore, needs to be given for lunch and dinner. Although the vegetables are different everyday, the fare is basic but filling and wonderfully fresh and hot. Only Gujarati Thali is offered daily. Once in a while, variety is provided viz. pav bhaji and pulao instead of the regular thali. The owners themselves wait on customers and the family itself prepares the food. The food, therefore is just like home-made food - no extra dripping oil or extra spicy. The owners are very genial, friendly and helpful and if the group is reasonably large, they prepare vegetables/dishes of their choice too! They also help tourists with accommodation, sightseeing etc. Vegetarians, don't look elsewhere in Bhandardara! Head straight here for lunch and dinner. Breakfast is also offered, but very basic fare like khanda poha or upma.
Yes, they offer typical Indian cuisine with a desi twist. They also provide a wide variety of options for vegetarians. It's easy to fall in love with this restaurant.
