Absolutely amazing Italian cuisine (sorry for the excitement, but it truly is incredible). The ravioli is handmade fresh daily. I tried their Lamb Cheese Ravioli and it was absolutely delicious! They added a unique touch to their lasagna by incorporating a hint of goat cheese. We were pleasantly surprised by the fantastic flavors. They cultivate their own herbs on the spacious back patio. The staff treated us like long-time friends and even remembered our names. It felt like a cozy gathering with loved ones. Dining on their patio is a delightful experience.
My husband and I chose to celebrate our wedding anniversary at Catelli's, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. The food, service, and ambiance were all outstanding. We both agreed that our experience, especially with our waitress Tiffany, was the best we had ever had at a restaurant. The Minestrone soup was the finest I’ve ever tasted, and my husband’s steak was cooked to perfection. I had the butter pasta with meatballs, which I was initially a bit unsure about, but it was delicious. Be sure to try the Affogato for dessert – it’s a must! We will certainly be returning to Catelli's soon.
I absolutely fell in love with this restaurant! The meat ravioli features incredibly thin pasta, allowing the filling to truly shine. Not only is the food fantastic, but the ambiance—both inside and outside—is wonderful. On warm evenings, the black and white checkered patio is a delight! It's simply beautiful! The service is also very friendly and personable. I left feeling like I wished I were Italian! Ha!
I strongly suggest checking out the restaurant recommendations from Guy Fieri. During my visit to Occidental, I drove to this place and had a wonderful experience. The minestrone soup was absolutely delicious, and the ambiance was lovely. The staff was exceptionally friendly, making us feel like we were part of an exclusive crowd. The portion sizes were generous, and our server attentively noted every detail of our order. I even spotted the owner, which left me in awe, but unfortunately, I didn’t get the opportunity to take any photos.
We were surprised that the restaurant wasn’t very busy for lunch in the beautiful Sonoma wine country. The prices were moderate to high for everyday dishes, but unfortunately, our group of four found the entrees to be too salty. It seems the Italian comfort food has been changed too much, not living up to the past experiences that once made this place popular. The service was adequate, but overall, we left feeling disappointed with our meal. It seemed like the owner or chef wasn’t present that day, as the dishes weren’t prepared as well as usual. Our group agreed that previous owners and chefs delivered a more enjoyable dining experience. Despite our disappointment, we think tourists might still appreciate the restaurant’s charm and keep it in business.
