It’s been difficult to find vegetarian friendly places in Spain so am very glad to have found this spot and a set menu of all vegan food.

Just recently paid a new visit to this place, to my knowledge the only fully vegan restaurant in Getxo. It didn 't disappoint. I have to say I was a bit skeptical in the beginning, as I had dinner and found the fare to be kind of trendy, which may or may not be a good thing. My last three visits have been for lunch though, and it seems like their daily menu is a blend of international and Spanish food, without necessarily paying attention to what the latest craze on instagram is. I have very much enjoyed said meals, and so have both friends and even my parents, who aren 't super keen on trying new things or vegan food altogether. Naturally there 's some room for improvement, but not enough to jeopardise their five stars: the toilets could be fresher, and the entrance lighter and more welcoming. Some of the plants seem to have been neglected. The opening hours are limited, and there is a risk of them running out of courses. Hopefully it 's all a matter of time until these minor issues are taken care of and Mandrágora becomes nothing short of a household name for vegan food in the Basque Country. Go support 'em!

We only tried the menu (hence the title). We arrived here after a long car trip and I'm glad to report we received great attention and the service was very quick. The menu consisted in raw beet salad (no comments because we don't like beets unfortunately XD), juice, salad or soup, one main dish and dessert. The soup I had was good, but sort of plain, very average. The main dish however was delicious. I think they were Heura-brand meatballs in a delicious, hearty, peppery sauce that coated them perfectly. The presentation and plating were much above what you'd expect from a menu. For dessert, the carrot cake was juicy and flavorful, very fluffy and moist. Cashew glaze was just the icing on the top (I know, I know). All in all, not the best prize (14€ for a menu) , but I can totally understand it when the food is so high quality and you get a full second and dessert from their regular menu.

We loved the menu, really filling and tasty, one of the best organic beers we’ve tried! Very good value for money too.

Everything is vegan and the menu of the day is very good, very complete and rich. the attention of the staff leaves a little to be desired, but the food compensates.
