Friendly's - GETTYSBURG

I wish we had one of these restaurants in Pittsburgh. It was one of the best restaurants I've ever visited. Especially for money. I ordered the Beef Stroganoff and it was absolutely fantastic. Try your ice cream. You have a HUGE ice and desert menu. I can't wait to go back.

Food and ice cream are great. The service is a little slower than normal. My first experience was not so great, employees smoke cigarettes without washing hands before returning to work. Certain staff members don't make you feel welcome but there's staff members here that work really hard to the point where you can see them really stressed.

Friendly has always been my family's go-to restaurant during road trips, so it was a pleasure to visit again, this time with my own children. The food was tasty, and our server was incredibly kind. However, they appeared a bit disorganized—perhaps due to being understaffed—since we waited around 10 minutes after being seated, and the restaurant wasn't very busy. The wait for our food and desserts was quite lengthy as well. Overall, we spent nearly two hours there just enjoying a few burgers and ice creams. Despite the delays, I’ll definitely return! I hope next time will be smoother. It happens sometimes, but we’ll be back for sure.

The food was delicious, and the desserts were also excellent. Her specialty soda was a nice touch. My only complaint is the extremely long wait for our food. Aside from that, it was a very enjoyable experience.
