while on a trip to charleston from myrtle beach, my wife and I wanted to stop somewhere on the way to breakfast. we've got it. I'm just looking for places along our road. we have decided to make georges an attempt. very much a local family-running diner feel. our waiter was great! eating was fast, very good and cost-effective. it was great to hear and see how well the staff knew many of the other local diners. Took a very long time (30 min) to get the incorrect order! Ordered chicken stir fry and when I finally got it, there were about six small pieces of chicken on a lot of rice--no veggies!! Price was $10.95. Hubby and I split a Reuben, which was sub par. Service was painfully slow! Didn't know they made cake until I was told to place my order. They are good size and taste as your grandma made them... we go there for all my cakes for now....
Nice friendly restaurant with food to order or a buffet. Always happy when I leave
Ate at George's Restaurant for the first time while visiting Georgetown for my family's annual gathering/vacation, a week ago. The food was great, the price was reasonable, and the staff was friendly. We were a party of 26, yet they were helpful, considerate, and efficient. Would like to eat there again on our next visit to Georgetown. :

While on a trip to Charleston from Myrtle beach, my wife and I wanted to stop somewhere along the way for breakfast. We kinda winged it. Just looking for places along our commute. We decided to give George 's a try. Very much a local family run diner feel. Our waiter was great! Everyone was friendly. The food was quick, very good, and inexpensive. It was great hearing and seeing how well the staff knew many of the other local diners.
