Dale's Essenhaus - Georgetown

I'm not sure why, but the first time I went food was good. My second time going, I could say food was ok. Every item in the menu is charg3d separately. Depending on how much you eat, you can share 1 order of fries with 2-3 people.

Our kayaking group stopped here for lunch on a Tuesday. The restaurant is in a quiet street in a neighborhood. The place is massive with indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area is big and has a stage and several seating areas. Apparently they have live music regularly in the evenings which will be worth a return visit…Lunch was slow but the service was great for a large group. Everyone enjoyed their food: the fried food plates were huge. Aside from the usual burgers and such, they were offering their famous smoked sauerkraut which I personally didn’t like. I did like their coleslaw. You don’t leave this restaurant hungry as the portions are very generous. It’s a long way to go from Georgetown but it’s quite convenient when you’re around the area.

As a German tourist passing through, we enjoyed the music and good food. Wish we could come again! We always have fun visiting the USA and never forget all the support we received from the people of the USA after World War 2! Thank you all!

If you want to experience Texas come to this place really good hamburgers really good chicken fried steak they have live music it really is what Texas represents you want to get away from the city get a Texas feel this is a place to go to and visit

Kiley was great as usual. The food was amazing. Always look forward to a Monday (Fried Chicken Special) but usually hard to stray away from the chicken tenders.Kid-friendliness: Always feel comfortable letting our kids play in the beer garden.
