Pollock's Pizza Cafe

Pollock's Pizza Cafe
4.0 / 5 (2585 reviews)

Description

Pollock's blends pub warmth with surprisingly strong culinary highlights: standout eisbein, homemade mustard, excellent Irish coffees and a respectable whisky selection, all at reasonable prices. Staff are consistently friendly and fast, and a bar area with big TVs and a cozy dining room with a fireplace creates a convivial local atmosphere. Downsides include inconsistent takeout timing, occasional brusque management, pervasive indoor smoking and limited child/wheelchair accessibility—best for locals and adults seeking hearty fare and drinks.

Pollock's offers the best eisbein in the area, and their homemade mustard is simply perfect. We live nearby and often order takeout by calling ahead, which allows us to pick up our meals without having to wait, since everything is freshly made.

Top affordable menu. Nice atmosphere and I can walk home if the party is too rough .. 5 Stars :

I ordered takeout from Pollocks and was told it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. However, when I arrived 25 minutes later, I had to wait an additional 20 minutes. I was also asked to move from my seat because I couldn’t provide an ID, even though I was just waiting for my takeout and had no intention of buying any drinks. The owner did not handle the situation professionally or kindly, and I was unhappy with how I was treated. While I understand the importance of an ID for alcohol sales, being asked to move was completely unnecessary.

Pollocks Pizza Café, I must admit I stopped in late for an Irish coffee as the restaurant I was at did not serve Irish Coffees. The atmosphere was very pleasant. It did not seem to have any separation from smokers to non smokers, however I found it to be almost smoke free despite many people there. There two divisions the bar side with large TV for sport and a few steps down there was a dinning area with a large fire going against the wall. I am usually very fussy about my Irish Coffees and the waiter was quick, very helpful asking details how we liked our coffees. It was one of the best Irish Coffees I have had for a long time. So, mush so it put us in the mood for whisky which they seemed to have fair selection and we tried a few. The place is very pleasant. It is not child friendly and as far as I could see the upper part was wheelchair friendly, unless they had a back door, I can’t see the bottom dining area being wheelchair friendly. I was impressed and aim to go back to eat there next time as well as try some nee selection of whiskies they may on hand and still finish off with a guaranteed fantastic Irish Whisky
