The cake was absolutely divine. The portions are generous, and the price is very reasonable for the quality you receive. You simply have to try the gourmet milkshakes—they're amazing! The coffee is expertly brewed and beautifully presented. The atmosphere and service were outstanding. View all feedback.
What Ashley Brown doesn't like about Nina's Cafe.:
My visit to Nina’s started awkwardly as I had to ask where to sit. The shop is charming, but my flat white was a letdown—burning my fingers and tasting unmistakably burnt. Despite its appealing decor, the coffee quality makes it hard to recommend Nina’s. The experience showed that good ambiance can’t make up for subpar drinks. Meal type: Breakfast View all feedback.
Fantastic little find, on York Street, after we had been to Wonky Wear on the opposite side of the road. As soon as we walked into the venue the staff made us feel welcome and the place had a great feel, and fantastic smells coming from the kitchens. Richard, our waiter, was very knowledgeable out the food, the beers and the wines, speaking about them all with a passion and enthusiasm. My wife, who is a vegetarian, found the menu interesting and different from all other restaurants, who appear to have no idea about vegetarians thinking they can palm them off with a ‘Greek Salad’ or a tasteless pasta or curry dish produced from frozen vegetables. We both, and that’s the positive ‘both’ has a fantastic meal with lovely drinks, in a wonderful little venue. If you like nice food, great beer or wine, interesting background music and pleasant staff, then this is the place to go! When the owners are directly involved in the preparation of the food, and the baking, you will often find that the standards are high. This is no exception, and we can’t wait to go again!
I never do reviews but this is a must try! Let 's begin with the starters which fall under 'Tappas ' on the menu: I had the Peri Peri Chicken Livers, it is creamy with just enough heat and it was accompanied by a perfect, fresh Ciabatta, in generous amounts. My mother had the Black Pepper Squid as a starter, with a light and crispy batter with a fresh home-made tartare sauce. Any streak on this menu is recommended , particularly their 35 day aged Sirloin. Their sauces are well seasoned, with good texture and flavour, perfectly executed. What stood out was that they let their love for food expresses itself on the plate. I am happy we made a reservation as it was a full house. Nina 's was filled with laughter and chatter with decor that makes you feel at home. The staff are friendly, professional and go the extra mile. You will definitely see me at Nina 's again! Bon Appetit!
I had breakfast at Nina's yesterday with a couple of friends, and I must say that for such a small restaurant, I had an exceptional experience with both the hospitality and the food. They have really done a fantastic job with this setup. I will definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a great breakfast in George.
