What User doesn't like about De Nieuwe Brooderie:
We ordered 4 coffees and 4 slices of cheesecake.The waiter decided BY HIMSELF to give us half a slice of cheesecake and half a slice of apple pie, since they didn't have enough cheesecake. The crust of the apple pie was as hard as wood, the apples were old too. And we found that each of our slices of cheesecake had some dark particles on the outer side of the cake. It was fungus. Nice and tasty. I'm sorry it's so small. Not so easy to put on children's seat, for example. The service isn't always as considerate and efficient.

This is a wonderful restaurant with incredibly friendly service and delicious food. We tried the Mediterranean breakfast with falafel and Lebanese omelet, both of which were amazing. While we were there on a groupon deal so we're not sure about regular prices, the quality of the food made it worth it. The decor is a bit outdated but the welcoming host and exceptional food more than make up for it. I will definitely choose to eat here instead of at the hotel next time I visit Ghent.

I tried the falafel dish and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.
