The dressing and the mix of ingredients, the veggies, the boiled eggs it all came together beautifully. The salads in the Black Forest area are...different in style to what I have had in other countries. Absolutely loved it. I also had the egg noodles. The service can be slow, they are quite busy and seem to have limited staff. Also, their staff don't all understand English. But if you are patient, it's all good. One of the best places to eat in Gengenbach

There are other excellent restaurants in Gengenbach but none come close to the value, atmosphere, service and great food in Schatull. Indoor and outdoor tables. Good range of beer,...wine and spirits too. Naturally, we spoke German as much as we could but they even have an English menu and the helpful staff speak enough English to help out

Food arrived after a short wait and was delicious with generous portions. Very well priced too

Tasty food, interwsting venue. Wine seemed very light and they did not have what we wanted from food and drinks eventhough we can at 6pm, which is very early for dinner. Howrver, foodwise we liked this place the most.
