We came to lunch through the restaurant when we visited Plainpalais. We were hungry but wanted nothing too big and the view of a cozy café-like restaurant called our attention. Our feeling was rewarded when we discovered that they served fondue and that they were also specialists in beef, and better still, they had fondue with that beef! They had no problem with us to share only one fondue for two people and even helped us choose an amazing local wine. They really took care of offering a pleasant experience and helping us find the best option. I went to other restaurants in Geneva, but this is definitely a must for anyone who wants to visit and taste a local taste with a magnificent service.
An evening lately, during the Ice Age in Geneva, a friend and I decided to visit the P 'tit Vaudois for the first time. We were freezing when we were there. We were greeted by a very pleasant hostess. After we sat in a cozy corner, we were served a delicious cup of hot mushroom soup, compliments of the cook! The decor was quite simple, but absolutely charming. We ordered the house speciality excellent roast beef. It was cooked according to guest wishes for perfection, carved at the table, served with three different sauces and a large vegetable salad and a choir or fries. The selection of Swiss wine was good and cheap. The service was very good. A place to be highly recommended. I'm looking forward to the next time!
Great place for lunch in the centre of Geneva. When you order a frying beef, they bring a small extra table next to your to cut the meat and prepare your dish, which you do not often see at lunch. You also have a nice selection of local wines. The restaurant is not really located in the tourist area of Geneva and is more in the banking district of the city that could explain all the people wearing suits (although it is not a beautiful place). Try to drive on foot or by public transport, as it is almost impossible to park around without spending an incredible amount in underground garage. 15min walk from the lake or 5min if you have the Grand théâtre Mur des Réformateurs Prize for 3 Bratbeef 3 beers a bottle of wine tip was about 200 Swiss francs.
Liked the family atmosphere, tasty food, and convenient to hotel.
Specialized for roast beef on a garlic butter sauce. Delicious!
