Eritrean food. Authentic and traditional. Feels so welcome. Excellent narrator as a waitress. With mutual limitations of the language we enjoyed our conversations and food. View all feedback.
What Iris Sá doesn't like about Mosaïque:
I have been the first customer of the evening. The restaurant was empty, therefore not much confusion or distraction but they managed to bring me something different than what I ordered. The waiter/owner proposed to take back the plate and take off a few toppings instead of making a new one. On top of that, the cost of 0.5L of water is ridiculous: 5.50chf. View all feedback.
This restaurant is great and its a neighborhood favorite. It's always got a number of people every night. The decor is nothing to write home about and the service is slow because it's only one guy working, but no matter since the food is excellent. A plus, the guy is a total sweetheart.

Went there on a Wednesday night with a friend of mine. The place was relatively empty sans for a group of two British men. We were warmly welcomed by the owner who quickly sat us and asked what we wanted to drink. There are...no menus at Mosaique-they simply have chicken, beef, lamb, and a vegetarian option. All options come with unlimited injera. I selected the vegetarian option, which was made up of lentils, salad with EVOO, and sautéed spinach. My friend selected the chicken, which also came with a side of lentils, salad, and spinach. Everything was really tasty and plentiful, and my request for more injera was happily fulfilled. The place started to fill up as time went on, and I noticed that some people had made reservations and several tables were reserved. A word of caution: this place is cheap only by Geneva standards. In addition to our meals, me and my friend both had a bottle of Pellegrino. In NYC, our meal would probably cost around USD. Our meal was around CHF, which is roughly USD. Definitely not a cheap eat although I suppose it is in Geneva, where eating out is technically a luxury.
The food was tasty and interesting, and quite cheap to Swiss standards, but what I really liked was the owner who was friendly and excellent service offered.
