A essayer impérativement View all feedback.
As a part of a trip to visit Chopard myself and a colleague were treated to visiting Le Decanteur for dinner. Admittedly when looking at the photos of the restaurant I knew it would be small, but it really is tiny! There's seating for probably around 25 if you don't mind being friendly with the locals (if you do, you don't really have a choice). It's nice to see the food being made behind the counter as well. As for the food itself, it is of good quality for a meal but you get the sense this place is better served as a wine bar where food should be a side thought such as antipasti rather than a full dinner. All that I had was good, however, even though it was absolutely microscopic inside and therefore very noisy, but you can't say there isn't an atmosphere though. This place may not be best suited for business meals unless you are very casual and close with the people you are taking, or you know they won't mind it being a little quirky. Still, fun though.
Great Italian place in Eaux Vives, casual / trendy atmosphere.Only top tables with bar stools, with some tables outside for warmer days.Great choice of Italian specialties, only prepared with top ingredients. Pasta are homemade and super fresh (their pesto is so good!!).Friendly staff, menu with decent prices.Only drawback is that you cannot book in advance so either you arrive early, otherwise you take the risk not to have a spot!

I would say frustrated because everytime I came to this place, I had a wonderful food and wine experience but sadly, the staff (and yes I know it's the owner as well) was not friendly at all...Everytime I wanted to drink a nice glass of wine in the eaux-vives I would come here (more than 10 times in the last year!).But I have to admit that the last time was the LAST time I would come here...There are plenty of nice wine bar in Geneva, with charming staff and cosy atmosphere. The Décanteur is definitely not one of them...It's a shame when the staff is turning off the lights and putting all the chairs on the tables and handing you the bill when it's only 22:30 on a Saturday...!I can understand that it's really full on to work on a bar all week long, going back home after midnight and that sometimes you just want to rest and go back early! It happens to me when I'm at work! But I don't do it, because I can't!It's really ambarrassing to feel like you're not welcome in a bar that looks so nice and that serves such beautiful wines and dishes...Everytime I talk about this bar with my friends, (and some of them are there almost every week) I can hear the same feed back!So sorry guys but I won't recommend your bar if someone's searching for a nice experience :(
