View all feedback.
What Danielle Potier doesn't like about Istanbul:
the waiter was very aggressive here and refused to give an additional plate to share the starter. also for the desert he refused to give knives. overall he was very rude. I would never visit this place again. there are other Turkish restaurants and will try them. View all feedback.
Everyone knows that Switzerland is a very expensive place to visit let alone live. The prices are off the charts especially for dining out. While I expected this during my trip to Geneva, I wasn't expecting to pay upwards of $50 for lunch! Luckily I...found Intanbul Kebab. It's right next to the train station. The place is clean, the staff and chef are friendly and the food was fresh. I really enjoyed the house salad. The lamb kebab sandwich was not exactly my favorite because I was given some of the dry meat from the rotisserie. Overall I had a good experience due to paying upwards of $75 for dinner at other mediocre restaurants. I don't know why the country and city can get away with this. They told me that New York City is expensive but at least in new york you can get lunch for less than $15 dollars (The Swiss Franc is equivalent in value). Don't expect anything fancy but a decent meal to stay or takeaway. Note: The do not except American Express
Good place to have a Turkish foods. Best service in the area. Great chief serving directly to tables.
We have eaten here quite a few times - the kebabs are huge and very tasty. The service could be better, sometimes they keep chatting between themselves a little too long. My only complaint is the following: the area where they put the kebabs to be picked up by the waiter is also where people order their take-away, so they are talking directly above your plate. It would be a lot more hygienic to have a fibre-glass cover open on the kitchen side and service side (like they have in many boulangeries/patisseries here in Geneva)... I kindly ask the management of Istanbul to look into this - it has put me off from eating here, as I don't want peoples germs landing on my food.
My wife and my 3 sons were in town and I advised them to get there for a quick kebab. One of my sons is a toddler. The four were left standing for minutes and when my wife asked for some help no one came. After a while standing they left.
